To be honest, I’ve fallen back into an old habit again recently—there was a DeFi position that clearly should’ve been withdrawn, but I kept it open and refused to move. Overnight, I was taken out by a “needle” wick—an intraday spike that stabbed through the chart. Stop-loss is honestly the same as breaking up: the more you hesitate, the more you can’t let go. In the end, it still hurts, but the extra days I spent holding cost me interest that I essentially paid in vain. What I regret isn’t the outcome—it’s the few hours in the middle where I kept getting stuck in indecision. Pure self-inflicted internal conflict.

Lately, the whole AI Agent automated trading setup has been getting quite popular. On-chain interactions do look convenient, but we still need to go over the safety terms ourselves—especially the underlying approve calls and the permission settings. If someone manages to steal even a single authorization, you won’t have time to cry. Anyway, I’m setting a strict rule for myself now: for every trade, decide the exit price upfront, set a firm stop-loss, and when it hits, you go—no more overthinking. The time you save from obsessively watching the screen, even turning that time into folding paper, feels more rewarding.
