Last night I looked up an old contract from a guy on-chain, and the data simply wouldn’t load no matter what I tried. The Subgraph calls took forever and kept coming back empty, and the RPC was rate-limiting me the whole time. It was so frustrating I wanted to smash my keyboard, but then I thought about it—this is basically par for the course. No matter how fast the base chain is, once the middle layer gets clogged, the experience drops off a cliff. To put it bluntly, this kind of data availability problem is one of the easiest weak spots to overlook in a modular stack, but it’s also the trap that retail users are most likely to fall into. Lately everyone’s been focused on shilling and Memes, and veteran players always tell newcomers not to catch the last train—yet what really holds up is knowing how to check on-chain data yourself. It’s just that when things start to lag, that’s when people are most likely to give up.

Anyway, I’m too lazy to switch nodes—I’ll just endure it and get through. But if I really build tools in the future, I’ll definitely set up a backup RPC. That’s it for now. Getting stuck with data doesn’t mean it’s not there—it just means you can’t see it, so be mentally prepared in time.
