Just saw someone using their PFP’s voting power to trade for that small amount of short-term rewards—and honestly, it’s pretty disappointing. The value of a brand or a community membership card, in plain terms, still comes down to how long the consensus and governance power behind it has been built—not for the sake of a few minutes of attention. In the past few days, hardware wallets have run out of stock again, and phishing links are flying everywhere—how many people have ended up losing their own NFTs? Anyway, I’ve become more and more cautious myself; even when applying for an airdrop, I repeatedly double-check the address. What I still believe is that the pixel values in the image are worth something only if, on-chain, the things you can actually do with them keep getting more important.
