I changed a wallet authorization today. The moment I hit confirm, my eyes started to ache and my neck went stiff—I’m seriously done. Lately, during the airdrop season, a bunch of task platforms have popped up. The points system has made the “free-earning” crowd grind like they’re going to work. And the phishing sites have been upgrading like crazy too—the signature pop-ups are getting more and more like the real thing.
As for me, whenever I see a button that says “Claim all airdrops with one click,” my stomach tightens. I click the terms first, then check whether it’s actually a real site.
About seed phrases—trust me: this lifetime, don’t screenshot, don’t copy. Even if you write it down by hand and stash it in a drawer, it’s still safer than leaving it in your browser. Try to sign as few authorizations as possible. If you really have to use something, set up a separate small-wallet to run the tasks, and try not to touch any dApps of unknown origin with your main account. Anti-sybil checks are strict, but phishing sites don’t care whether you’re a sybil or not—one signature and everything’s gone.
I’m a bit annoyed, so I’ll stop here for now.
