I lost another chunk just now—slippage ate a lot of it. 😅 At the time, I looked at a certain pool on the Arb chain and the liquidity depth seemed okay. But after I threw in all at once, it directly smashed my execution price all the way. When I checked afterward, the price on OP was actually steady. Sigh—at the end of the day, I just didn’t time my order correctly. Liquidity can look solid, but once you pull, it can turn out to be thin. Between Layer2s, people compare TPS and fees every day, and sometimes it’s not as good as comparing which chain’s pools can withstand my kind of one-shot trade as a small retail user. Anyway, the lesson is: don’t get greedy to enter fast—scale in in batches. Check the depth before you move. What I’m really afraid of isn’t missing an opportunity—it’s whether the depth is still there.
