Recently, when looking at terms related to data availability, put simply, it comes down to: “Can this data actually be used, who gets there first, and who ultimately gets the responsibility for it.” A lot of articles break ordering and finality down in great detail, but I think the main thread is just one thing: who you trust. In the past few days, people have been interpreting ETF fund flows together with U.S. stock risk appetite, and it feels like everyone is searching for certainty—but the kind of certainty that can truly be realized on-chain is, in fact, only a few key moments, tied to specific nodes and the consensus they’re bound to. (Does this count as a form of market consensus finality?) In any case, I personally’m more used to keeping an eye on the ledgers of fund flows and cross-chain bridges, because it’s steadier than watching fluctuations in sentiment.
