Over the past two days, I’ve been watching how an ecosystem is likely to move after an upgrade on a certain chain, and I really feel moved. Everyone’s speculating whether projects will migrate—people are talking up a storm in the community, but the capital flows are as quiet as if they’re waiting for something. To put it plainly, the biggest thing that makes hotspot rotation so brutal is that sentiment moves before actual data: you watch the project team’s Twitter, I watch the on-chain TVL for changes—and I end up seeing that “migration” has been talked about for three days, while the actual amount locked hasn’t moved at all. Later I thought it was kind of funny: attention itself is a kind of gas—you chase it, and your wallet gets thinner. Anyway, I’ve learned the lesson: first wait for the team’s official announcement, then cross-check developer activity—don’t let community jokes lead you around.
