Just caught another wave of discussions about people doing re-staking again. Honestly, it’s making me a bit itchy. It’s not that I’m coveting that APY—what I’m craving is that illusion of “everyone is rushing in, so should I too.” Even though shared security sounds beautiful, stacking returns layer by layer often bundles the underlying asset’s volatility risk again, and then casually puts a fresh wrapper on top. With the whole RWA setup that moves US Treasury yields, and on-chain lending, and now adding re-staking on top—basically, it’s still repeatedly renting out the same risk exposure. So I’m thinking, why am I still getting an itch? Probably because the anxiety of “others are going for it” is more uncomfortable than losing money itself. Forget it—I’ll first see how others end up getting burned.
