To be honest, what I’ve been seeing lately in funding rates—at that extreme level—has been pretty interesting. Both sides of the community are arguing: some people say it’s about to reverse, while others are still shouting to keep charging. I can’t really say for sure, but I lowered my expectations, and it steadied my mindset a lot.
As for these yield aggregators, the APY looks tempting, but if you dig into the underlying contracts and counterparties, sometimes it really gives you chills. I’ve stared at gas for a long time, and I’m used to following the on-chain logic step by step. I found that a lot of the so-called yield sources in certain pools actually depend heavily on a single protocol or a leveraged loop. If there’s a bit of congestion or a liquidation event, liquidity gets stuck. I’ve fallen into a few traps before—now I’d rather choose ones with lower yields but clearer contract logic. I don’t chase those numbers that look good on the surface.
In fact, after lowering my expectations, I can look at on-chain data more clearly and I’ve lost a lot of the anxiety. Slow and steady won’t cost you anything—I'm just afraid of getting blinded by that high APY.
