Sometimes I wonder how people at the very top think this story ends.

If workers can’t afford homes, groceries, or basic necessities…
Who fills the shopping carts?
Who pays for the subscriptions?
Who rents the apartments?
Who keeps businesses growing?
An economy can’t thrive if the people expected to spend money no longer have any left to spend.
You can maximize profits for a while.
But eventually, squeezing the consumer also means squeezing the customer.
No business can outgrow an economy where fewer and fewer people can afford to participate.
