🤖🔥An important shift is happening in the AI era: in the future, it won’t be just about who can build more chips, but who can more efficiently produce tokens! On July 19, Zheng Weimin, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Tsinghua University, said at a related forum that rapidly increasing computing power does not necessarily mean higher-efficiency token production capacity. Put simply: 💡 having more computing power doesn’t necessarily mean AI will be smarter or more efficient. It’s like a factory—having more machines doesn’t automatically translate into higher output; what really matters is the production process, energy utilization, and overall system efficiency. In the era of AI agents, the truly scarce resource is changing: before, everyone competed over: 🔥 who owned more chips; 🔥 who had stronger computing power. But in the future, competition may turn into: 🚀 who can produce tokens more stably, at lower cost, and with higher efficiency. What is a token? In simple terms: a token is the “digital fuel” that AI uses to understand and generate content. AI chat, code writing, data analysis, and task execution all require a large amount of tokens behind the scenes. As AI applications become more widespread, the number of tokens consumed may grow bigger and bigger; therefore, whoever masters efficient token production capabilities will gain a greater competitive advantage. This is also worth attention in the crypto space 👇 because AI and blockchain are continuously converging. In the future: 🤖 AI handles computation and execution; ⛓️ blockchain handles data recording and value flow; 💰 digital assets handle incentives and ecosystem connectivity. Computing power, data, AI agents, and decentralized infrastructure could all become directions the market focuses on in the next stage. However, you should also keep in mind: the AI track isn’t only about concepts—truly valuable projects ultimately still need to return to real applications and commercial deployment. 📌In one sentence: competition in the AI era has upgraded from “who has more machines” to “who can use machines more efficiently.” The true winners in the future may not be the ones who own the most resources, but the ones who can turn resources into productive power. The AI wave is accelerating, and blockchain and the digital economy may also usher in new connection opportunities. 🚀
