I just saw a post from a new user asking whether you can still go for a meme coin now, and the replies from veteran players were almost unanimously: “Don’t catch the last baton.” Honestly, attention rotation moves too fast. Once that wave of hype from celebrity callouts passes, the pool gets dried up—right then and there.
I’m personally getting more and more timid. I’d rather stay on the sidelines on the second layer and watch how the modules for data availability get put together—at least there’s some certainty.
Speaking of certainty, it reminds me of taxes. Every year around this time, friends end up rage-quitting after digging through on-chain records. My own habit is to manually export my transaction history to local storage once a week. I sort it into folders by protocol/chain, and I jot down whether it was a swap, mining, or an airdrop.
Don’t trust any “use a tool to export everything in one click by year-end.” When the chain clogs up or a node goes down, and you can’t pull all the data, you’ll feel like crying even more. This isn’t talent—it’s just forcing yourself to build the habit.
Anyway, that’s it for now. Sound bookkeeping is better than anything.
