I was up late and came across an LST re-staking protocol. The returns looked decent, but if you think about it carefully—where exactly do they come from? Basically, part of it is the staking rewards themselves, plus the protocol’s own incentives, like points and expected airdrops. But lately the testnet has been making a big splash with points, and everyone’s speculating whether the mainnet will issue a token. I’m cautious, though—I’ll just wait and see for now.
As for the risks, it feels like applying patches to the system: small fixes and minor tweaks are fine, but if something goes wrong at the underlying on-chain layer, or there’s a vulnerability in the protocol logic, then the patch won’t help. I previously saw a case where someone made an abnormal transfer, and it scared me enough that I withdrew my LP right away. Forget it—I’d rather stay on the safe side.
