Those “waiting for confirmations”—to put it bluntly—just give some buffer for multisig and oracles, to prevent someone from taking over. Lately I’ve been watching people compare L2s in terms of TPS, fees, and subsidies every day, with a heated talk war going on. But if you actually want to move a token across chains, you still have to patiently wait those tens of blocks. Someone said I’m more hooked on monitoring the bridge at night than binge-watching shows—haha. Anyway, I don’t buy the hype about “instant arrival.” I’d rather be slow than risk a failure.
