Honestly, I’m fed up—every time I see a large on-chain transfer, people start shouting, “Smart money is coming in.” Just one twitch from an exchange’s cold wallet, and they can spin up ten different storylines. In reality, whether the team behind a project is genuinely doing real work can be judged by looking at treasury spending and milestone delivery—where the money goes is more honest than whatever slogans they chant.

I usually dig into their multi-sig wallets to verify whether each transfer corresponds to clear deliverables (e.g., contract upgrades, audit payments, community incentive distributions). If, for several consecutive months, all you see is “marketing budget” or “consulting fees” moving around while the product roadmap stays completely unchanged, then it’s basically just burning money to tell a story. Recently, I’ve been watching an art NFT project—every treasury expenditure comes with a development progress snapshot. It’s slow, but at least it feels solid. The stronger the structure, the softer the story can be.
