You’re talking about this time—it’s genuinely valuable in the options market. I’m just someone who likes to watch on-chain data. Recently I took a closer look at some matters between option buyers and sellers, and found that this “time value” comes down to “eating people alive.” Buyers keep hoping the market will suddenly blast up; meanwhile, their time cost gets worn down bit by bit. Sellers, on the other hand, collect rent in installments, one by one, quite steadily. Thinking about it, it’s also like miners’ income—retail users constantly complain that MEV takes orders unfairly, but when it comes to ordering rights, the costs have already been “eating” in plain sight on-chain, openly and subtly. Anyway, I’ve kind of come to terms with it. Instead, I’ll just calmly watch L2 stablecoin flows and look for a sentiment turning point—because if it’s even just a little green, I immediately think about closing the umbrella. For now, that’s it.
