Just saw a screenshot of an address-profiling tool someone shared. In the tab bar, it’s packed with labels like “smart money,” “DEX traders,” “early participants”… How should I put it? I usually only trust this kind of thing about half the time. The categorization and clustering look pretty objective, but once you switch to a different chain or a different time window, the same address can end up looking completely different.

Take those recent incentive and TVL-pulling activities from new L1s/L2s, for example: old users are yelling “farm and dump” while rushing in themselves. But once an address history has been tagged as an “interaction bot,” whatever it does afterward will be judged through tinted glasses. Whether it’s a slow-and-hot trend or not, the person behind the address is still real—what matters is whether the money is flowing in and out, and no one really cares what label you slap on it. As for positions, sometimes if you enter too quickly, you can’t see clearly.
