Honestly, block builders, bundles—at first I also felt like I had to figure all that out, otherwise I’d be wasting my time. During the recent airdrop season, someone in the group said using bundles to front-run could save gas and still be more reliable. I got impulsive and went to find a tutorial, adjusted the parameters as instructed—and then… my wallet got drained, the transaction failed, and I was charged two separate times in fees. It really hurt.
Later I thought it through. The truth is, it’s enough for retail users to know these things exist—knowing they help us bundle transactions and improve success rates is enough. There’s really no need to dig deep into those ordering rules, the MEV battles, and all that. That time I tried to understand how to bypass “anti-sybil” measures, but I took too big a step and ended up getting myself trapped.
Now the airdrop season is back. The anti-sybil on the task platforms is getting pulled into that “workday” grind—constantly competing, and the points system is especially mind-numbing. I told myself: if you don’t understand it, don’t touch it first. It’s not being scared—it’s because I already paid the price. When one day I can truly get a handle on the on-chain logic, I’ll take it slow and play then. Otherwise, it’s better to just do some simple interactions.
