The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) "internal investigation" into chemical weapons is the most insulting thing I've seen this year.

Let me explain:
🧪 The SAF was caught using chlorine gas (September 2024, near Garri base + al-Jaili refinery)
📸 HRW geolocated the chlorine containers near impact craters
🟢 Footage shows a yellow-green cloud textbook chlorine exposure
So the SAF appointed their OWN committee to investigate themselves. The committee said "no evidence."
No locations named. No test results. No labs. No incidents detailed.
The US response: "An internal investigation controlled by the SAF is NOT a substitute for independent international verification."
The Trump Administration sanctioned 8 people for prolonging the war. Second round of sanctions on Sudan for chemical weapons use.
Here's the uncomfortable truth:
The SAF = the Muslim Brotherhood's armed wing.
The MB is banned in most Arab states.
Yet Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey, and Qatar support the SAF.
Why? Because the MB's army is useful. Because Red Sea coastlines matter more than chemical weapons. Because 150,000 dead is an acceptable cost.
The OPCW demands inspections. The SAF demands you trust their self-investigation.
Choose which one you believe.
