A bunch of parallel, sharded new chains have been hyped like crazy lately. TVL is surging hard, but I just feel uneasy inside—when you break it down, a lot of it is just bots that farm rewards, not real user retention or genuine interaction. Anyway, I’m pessimistic like that: I care more about asset safety. If a protocol’s exit path isn’t clear, I’d rather miss out. I recently saw big on-chain transfers getting spun as “smart money,” but it may just be big holders switching wallets—whoever believes it is the one who ends up holding the bag. They say don’t chase it, but my hands still can’t help adding a little to something I’m familiar with. For now, that’s it.
