To be honest, I’ve been watching the Layer2 crowd obsess over TPS, gas, and subsidies lately—it’s been pretty lively. But I’m increasingly thinking that for retail users, understanding the basics is enough when it comes to things like block builders and bundles. After all, you’re not a miner or a market maker, so there’s no need to constantly stare at all that latency and the ordering strategies. Better to focus on—if you know how it’s put together, that’s enough.

Last time I saw a bundle packed with three transactions—classic blatant front-running. But they used public MEV strategies, and retail users can’t really avoid it. To put it simply, if you know this kind of thing exists, then just make sure your transactions aren’t too “naked” and don’t sign anything casually—that’s it.

As for those “ecosystem subsidies” schemes, I’m not really convinced. Let’s just see whether they’re still alive three months from now before we talk.
