Sometimes I feel like the term “modular blockchain” sounds a bit intimidating—like something only technical people would discuss. But when you think about it carefully, it’s really more like rebuilding with blocks: in the past, everything was handled by one chain—consensus, execution, data, and settlement all squeezed together, and at best you’d end up with something like a small standalone building. Now, it’s different: the different modules are separated, each one does what it’s best at, and when you put them together, you can actually end up with something like a small community.

For someone like me—an ordinary user—the most obvious changes probably aren’t what you can feel immediately after they go live. Instead, it’s those interactions that used to get stuck and those network congestions that would constantly cause squabbling—slowly easing up. It’s like before, when you’d play a little game on some Layer 2—you had to wait for confirmations every time, and it was really annoying. Now, even though the underlying layers have been separated, the experience is smoother instead. Put simply, the underlying logic has changed, which leaves more space for upper-layer applications to do genuinely interesting things—not spending every day wrestling with a pile of problems.

Anyway, I’m not really concerned about those large transfers by exchanges being hyped as “smart money” signals. Which big player doesn’t shuffle assets around every day? If it were truly “smart money,” would it draw that much attention? I’d rather stick to putting together some interesting combinations. Even if today’s experience isn’t that astonishing, at least the direction is right. That’s it for now.
