Just saw in a group chat that a bunch of people are talking about funding rates—so extreme it’s honestly ridiculous. Everyone’s betting on whether there will be a reversal or whether the bubble will keep being squeezed. To be real, I’m also pretty torn. But what worries me more is something else—those on-chain “cutting in line.” Like, MEV. When you see your own order that you just placed get filled one step ahead by someone else, it’s really annoying. But on the other hand, thinking about it, in this sort of thing—ordering—there’s basically no absolute fairness in crypto. It’s just that sometimes getting cut in line is so obvious that it still makes your stomach drop.

Lately I feel more and more that instead of obsessing over this, it’s better to put the effort into things you can control. Enter and exit positions in batches; trade time for space. Anyway, I’m not in a rush to get rich overnight. What do you think? Do these on-chain “cutting in line” events really end up affecting your mindset for the long term? Or should you just grit your teeth and go along with the game?
