The “Artificial Intelligence + Earthquake and Disaster Mitigation” Action Plan Has Been Released

Mars Finance News: The 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference— the Earthquake Artificial Intelligence Forum— was held in Shanghai. The meeting focused on the deep integration of artificial intelligence with earthquake prevention and disaster reduction, and centralized showcased the latest research achievements and practical applications of AI technologies in the field of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction. The China Earthquake Administration released the 《“Artificial Intelligence + Earthquake Prevention and Disaster Reduction” Action Plan (2026–2028)》 at the forum. Over the next 3 years, the initiative will focus on nine areas of tasks, including the research and development of an intelligent earthquake monitoring and processing system, as well as the development and demonstration application of intelligent earthquake early-warning technologies, to build a “data-model-platform-application” four-in-one artificial intelligence technology framework, further solidifying the data foundation, breaking through core technologies, and creating a series of support platforms for an “AI + earthquakes” initiative. By 2028, artificial intelligence technologies will provide effective support for earthquake prevention and disaster reduction business, further consolidating China’s leading advantages in AI for earthquake prevention and disaster reduction.
