A child isn’t able to separate their parents’ limitations from their own worth.

So many years later, even after they’ve already left that environment, a certain feeling still lingers in the body:
I need to try harder.
I need to be worth more.
I need to make other people a little more satisfied.
Otherwise, it feels as if I’m not entitled to exist peacefully.
A child needs to be blessed and welcomed into this world—that is something the caregivers should provide.
If they don’t receive it, it doesn’t mean that child isn’t worthy of love, and it doesn’t mean that the child shouldn’t have existed in the first place.
It more than anything shows that the environment the child grew up in didn’t give her what she was supposed to have.
