The hot topics are rotating fast lately—just a couple of days ago everyone was talking about restaking, with feeds full of “shared security” and “stacked rewards.” These days, they’ve started arguing again about whether it’s just a nested setup. Honestly, even just looking at the discussions makes my eyes spin. I used to always want to tag along on every wave, but the result was that I couldn’t keep up with the pace: I didn’t make much money, but I ended up running around a lot.

What I learned wasn’t a technique, but reverence for my own ability to execute—when a hot topic comes up, I ask myself first: can my costs hold up? Can I not chase it? In plain terms, if you keep getting nested, in the end what gets trapped is you yourself. Anyway, I’ve only got one rule now: don’t touch what you don’t understand, and don’t rush what you do understand—let the bullets fly for a bit.

Hot topics always rotate. If you keep jumping back and forth on top of them, there will always be one swing of the blade meant for you. What I learned isn’t a technique, but a sense of respect for cost.
