With all the controversy I’ve been seeing lately around ETFs and risks in the US stock market, it’s pretty easy to get confused. Honestly, I actually don’t really want to watch all of that—if I keep scrolling, I end up anxious. Right now I just want to “pause”: pause my hand, pause my watch, pause my scrolling.

Grid trading and DCA—basically, they keep you from constantly staring at the candlestick chart and getting worked up. Going all-in and then lying there at night, flipping back and forth worrying whether it will blow up—I just can’t handle that. Now I manage myself with ultra-minimal rules: don’t chase, don’t over-leverage. Set up the grid, check it once in the morning, and it feels good. If it really drops, then DCA in slowly—that’s fine too. To be real, the ability to sleep at night is a skill.
