Recently I’ve been looking at options. That whole “time value” thing—when it comes down to it—the buyer is losing and the seller is profiting. Put simply, the buyer pays money for time; as each day passes, that value disappears. The seller, on the other hand, makes a living off time. Think about vested/unlocked collateral too: once the unlock calendar is out, everyone gets anxious about sell pressure. But when you stretch the timeline out, those who are in a hurry to sell might actually be handing time value to long-term holders. Anyway, I’m pretty laid-back—whether you’re the buyer or the seller, the most important thing is sleeping well. If the collateral yield is a bit lower, that’s fine too—just keep a steady mindset.
