Stablecoin market saw $12.41B outflows over 62 days, while USDT market cap still exceeds $184 billion

Odaily Planet Daily reports that Defillama data shows the stablecoin market has seen $12.41B in outflows within 62 days since May 17, 2026, including $1.56B in outflows since July 11—one of the largest contractions in more than four years.

As of July 18, Tether’s USDT market cap is $184.06B, and Circle’s USDC market cap is $73.38B. Over the past week, USDT fell 0.06% and USDC fell 0.04%. Sky’s USDS market cap is $6.66 billion; over the past week it fell 12.30%, the largest decline among the top ten stablecoins.

World Liberty Financial’s USD1 fell 4.59%, while Sky’s DAI fell 0.43%. Global Dollar’s USDG rose 9.08% over the past week, with its market cap reaching $3.16B—the highest gain among the top ten stablecoins. PayPal’s PYUSD rose 1.60% to $2.88B. Circle’s USYC and BlackRock’s BUIDL fell 3.64% and 8.68%, respectively.
