I almost accidentally set a gas fee to 0.01 ETH… Thankfully I habitually checked the slippage, or I would’ve basically just sent it to miners. With all kinds of AI agents now able to issue tokens and automatically interact in one click, everything is getting faster—but honestly, I’m actually even less willing to let go. Yesterday I tested a script that claimed to “automatically split orders to avoid bots.” But when it encountered a pool with bad depth, it just kept looping there and completely stunned me. In the end, I still have to watch the gas and slippage myself, manually stop it, and start over.
Over there, the re-staking side of things has been getting noisy too—people are talking about “matryoshka doll” returns stacking on top of each other, and it’s just exhausting to look at. Either way, I don’t dare fully hand it over to the contract or have agents loop on their own. If any step has a bug, or if the slippage suddenly jumps, there won’t be time for anyone to react. Bottom line: on-chain, the places where “one mistake leads to step-by-step mistakes” can’t be covered by machines no matter how fast they are—like that near-hand slip just now. The agent won’t feel sorry for the small amount of gas fee instead of you.
