I just flipped through my wallet and cleared a batch of approvals. This stuff really is like a spring cleaning—if you don’t do it regularly, you feel awful all over 😂

And I feel like my mindset has gone through several “version updates,” too. In the early days, playing on-chain was all reckless—if I saw an air drop link, I’d click it without thinking, and I even kept the seed phrase in a memo for backup (thinking about it now, it really scares me).

Nowadays, before I sign anything, I look it over first. Any unknown link is treated as a phishing site—been around long enough, basically.

Lately, the broader environment has tightened, and expectations for deposits and withdrawals have been changing too. I feel like I really have to max out my security habits. To put it plainly: no matter how fancy you play on-chain, if you lose your private key, it’s all gone.

Also, I’ll say this—on one occasion, I almost got tricked by a “pixel game” phishing site that looked really convincing. Luckily, I took a closer look at the on-chain data at the time, and that’s when I realized the contract address was wrong. Ugh, thinking about it now still scares me. Anyway, I’d rather spend an extra ten minutes verifying than slip up for a second.
