I just checked the approval limits of a few old contracts—wow, some of them are still set to infinite approvals. It’s like leaving the door unlocked while you sleep. (Danmaku: Don’t scold, don’t scold.)

Actually, the “nested doll” re-pledging controversy also follows a similar logic— you lock assets layer by layer. On the surface, it looks like the returns stack up, but every protocol in each layer takes your infinite approval. If one of the contracts in the middle gets hacked or changes its rules, it’s no longer a slippage issue—it’s not just going wrong; it’s like everything’s gone, including your underwear.

Anyway, I’ve developed a habit now: revoke approvals right after you use them, or set a specific limit. Next time you need to use them, you can just sign again—it’s a hassle for a few minutes, but at least you can sleep soundly. Don’t think this has nothing to do with you—check the approvals list in your wallet; 8 times out of 10, you’ll find surprises.
