Just saw a recap of a hacked cross-chain bridge, saying the liquidation orders were all front-run because of oracle price feed delays—painful.

We usually spend time figuring out how to dodge sandwich attacks, but once this oracle slows down, the liquidity pools just get confused. Your limit orders haven’t even “woken up” yet, and someone has already cleaned you out at the old price.
I feel like it’s most obvious when you top up on an exchange: on-chain TXs are confirmed, but the wallet balance still doesn’t move for half a day. It’s not actually the network being slow—it’s that the oracle hasn’t fed the price yet.
Anyway, whenever I now place liquidation orders, I leave a bit of slippage buffer. I’d rather make a little less than get caught and hurt by a delay.
That said, if one day oracles can catch up to the chain, it probably can reduce a lot of these “waiting for confirmation” moments of rage… Forget it, for now. I still have a few routes to adjust.
