Just took a quick look around a few new PFPs—there are indeed a couple with art styles that really hit me. But honestly, right now the whole street is filled with floor-price offers, points expectations, and guesses about token issuance on the mainnet. That’s actually making me hesitate.
I’ve been burned a few times before: after the contract gets upgraded, they change the permissions, or suddenly add some kind of lock-up logic. You really don’t know what the people behind it are trying to do. So now I’m used to just leaving it alone first—waiting a week or two, even up to a month, to see whether community governance has any shady moves, and whether they’ll truly issue tokens after mainnet goes live. Either way, running the on-chain data through the numbers feels more reliable than making the decision based on gut feeling.
“Slow” sometimes really is what protects you. While everyone else is rushing, I’d rather be half a beat late—at least then I can see what’s happening at the table before placing my bet. Honestly, all those testnet incentives are going crazy, but who knows whether the mainnet will just end up selling tokens and harvesting people? Sigh, for now I’ll leave it at that.
