According to its latest interim performance announcement, Chifeng Gold (06693, 600988.SH) expects net profit for the first half of 2026 to be between RMB 1.7 billion and RMB 1.78 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 54% to 61%. The company attributes this growth mainly to a 43% year-on-year rise in the gold price, supported by increased production capacity and improvements in production and operational management. The company expects second-quarter net profit to be between RMB 712 million and RMB 792 million, a quarter-on-quarter decline of 19% to 27%, reflecting the recent weakening of the gold price and planned maintenance at some mines.
