I ran into a data issue again today. The TVL on the Dashboard suddenly jumped, and I almost thought the chain had gone down. Later I checked—turns out it was RPC rate limiting. The node side didn’t respond in time, and the Subgraph indexing lagged by another beat, so the data got stuck there and wouldn’t move. By the time it recovered, several minutes had already passed. In plain terms, DApp data sources are now too dependent on these intermediate layers: once RPC rate limiting kicks in or Subgraph update latency happens, the frontend sees a gap. If chain games also rely on data like this, the economic model will collapse even faster—inflation, studios farming volume, and coin price spiraling, with each step amplified alongside the data delays. It’s pretty ironic.

Anyway, I’m used to it. Before doing arbitrage each time, I always check the RPC latency first. Either it’s not talent—it’s just a long-term habit. When the data isn’t reliable, I’d rather wait, not bet everything on luck.
