A lot of experience needs to be applied personally to be useful. I’ve seen many people mindlessly say insurance is useless. I haven’t studied life insurance or dividend-type policies, but for me, health insurance truly was the most important thing in the last bear market that was hard.

Even cars know to buy insurance—why should you go around bare? Even if it’s not exceptionally good, buying the micro-medical insurance inside Alipay from the two major firms that designed it, or similar like Good Health Insurance, is enough. It’s only around a thousand yuan per year. ✍ The prerequisite is that, for your current health, nothing major has already been found. You need to make an honest health disclosure; medical data is public to insurance companies. If you conceal information in advance, the other party can indeed refuse to underwrite you.

Why do I say this is a very important lesson? Because based on my current health situation, nodules were discovered, and according to today’s health standards, I can no longer buy good new insurance. My parents are the same. Thinking about it, the policies we bought for them years ago were a good move. 😶 The only regret is that the insurance policies bought for my parents are written under my name; in the future, if I change my passport for immigration purposes, this part may become invalid. Then we’d have to switch to new insurance company coverage for them.

When you’re young, and before you achieve financial freedom, buying an insurance policy for yourself is a very good value hedge.
