Recently everyone has been obsessing over comparing TPS between L2s at full speed—like a beauty pageant. But honestly, after messing with on-chain stuff for so long, I feel that if AI Agents really take over on-chain interactions, the hardest part won’t be the flashy stuff—it’ll be the most basic “dirty work.” For example: when nonces get messed up, transactions get stuck in the mempool, or gas spikes so high that you tell it to change, but it’s still stuck fighting to the death with its pre-set logic.
Later I thought it was kind of funny. Everyone’s hyping it to the heavens, but in practice even things like handling failed unpacked transactions and analyzing the order of pending transactions all still require humans to stay on standby and cover the edge cases. Put simply, on-chain isn’t writing code—it’s playing a bunch of random games. No matter how smart AI is, it can’t deal with the fact that on-chain doesn’t play by the rules.
