How NLP affects moods and makes “the masses” do what’s needed...

NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) is an approach in applied psychology and psychotherapy that studies the connection between neural processes (“neuro”), language (“linguistics”), and behavioral patterns (“programming”). The method is used for self-improvement, better communication, and changing ineffective behavior patterns.

People perceive the world differently, through visual ( “I see” ), auditory ( “I hear” ), or kinesthetic ( “I feel” ) images.

The scope of application is very broad; let’s look at the most significant areas.

NLP in communication is a set of tools to improve communication and understand the other person. The main techniques include rapport-building (adapting to the pace of speech and posture), mirroring (copying gestures), and anchoring (triggering the right emotions through associations). They help build trust and avoid conflicts.
Pay attention to how your conversation partner breathes, what their posture is like, and the tone of their voice. By carefully adjusting to these parameters, the manipulator induces unconscious liking in them.
This is the state of complete mutual understanding and trust that arises when the adjustment is done correctly. It makes it easier to persuade and convey your ideas.

In media and journalism, NLP methods are used for covert manipulation of public opinion and for controlling the emotions of readers/viewers.
Selective coverage of facts and adjusting emphasis to create the needed emotional backdrop (for example, emphasizing a threat or a triumph).
Using certain word triggers, metaphors, vivid visual images, and fonts to evoke an unconscious response of fear, joy, or trust.
Constructing sentences so that certain controversial claims are presented as obvious facts that do not require proof.

Bloggers use NLP techniques to keep attention, engage the audience, and drive sales. They apply “mirroring” (adjusting through gestures), speech presuppositions (for example, the phrase “when you try...”, implying the purchase as a foregone conclusion), and trigger stories to build trust.
Creating in subscribers an attachment of a specific emotion to a gesture, a word, or a music track (so it can be used later to elicit the desired reaction).
A lot of “Yes” — a series of questions with an obvious affirmative answer to reduce critical thinking before offering a product.
Managing the focus of attention—when the blogger presents a normal situation from the angle they want (for example, showing a problem as an easy task thanks to a specific solution).

At the same time, in the scientific community, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is considered pseudoscience because there is no rigorous evidence base.
Because as soon as an evidence base appears, the whole media industry will be “tried” and this is at best.....
