Company Xpeng has received more than 7,000 pre-orders.
Production is being set up at a specialized plant in Guangzhou.
The world’s first specialized plant with conveyor-line production of flying cars has already been launched in test mode.
The facility is designed to produce up to 10,000 units per year.
The start of large-scale serial production is planned for 2027, and preliminary shipments are expected at the end of this year.

The modular flying car is called “Land Aircraft Carrier” (developed by Xpeng’s subsidiary Xpeng AeroHT) and is a two-part system consisting of a 6-wheel electric vehicle (“the base”) and a detachable two-seat flying apparatus (eVTOL), which is stored in the trunk.
Cost: about 2 million yuan (approximately $280,000 - $300,000).

The company is currently undergoing strict certification procedures at the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
