After-hours today, $AEHR will release its FY2026 Q4 earnings report.
Market expectations are for revenue of about $18.7 million, up roughly 81% quarter-over-quarter, with Non-GAAP EPS near break-even. The options market expects the stock price to swing by about ±18% after the earnings, suggesting the market is far from unified on this report.
AEHR sits upstream in this industry chain.
Its equipment performs Wafer-Level Burn-In (WLBI) testing on silicon photonics chips, screening out early-failure products before the chips enter optical modules. Over the past few months, the company has already secured consecutive additional orders from silicon photonics customers; the latest two orders were both placed after the end of the fiscal year, so they will not be reflected in tonight’s Q4 Backlog.
Tonight, four things are worth watching:
1. Whether silicon photonics customers reveal more expansion plans and whether there are any new additional orders.
2. Whether demand for the FOX-XP automation system continues to grow, which will determine the pace of silicon photonics mass production.
3. The backlog conversion progress of the previously $41 million AI test equipment order, and the timing of revenue recognition.
4. Whether FY2027 guidance remains optimistic, especially management’s outlook on the AI, silicon photonics, and optical interconnect markets.
Although AEHR cannot directly represent the entire optical communications industry, it can help us gauge whether silicon photonics mass production is still accelerating. If management continues to confirm customers’ expansion, additional orders, and mass production schedules, it will further corroborate the recent industry trend of ongoing expansion. Then, combined with the earnings reports from companies such as AAOI, Lumentum, and Coherent, the market can validate demand across the AI optical communications industry chain more completely.
