Coinworld News: Late on Monday evening, US stock index futures fluctuated slightly as investors tried to deal with the increasingly tense situation between Iran and the United States after going through a losing trade. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures fell 40 points, while S&P 500 index futures and Nasdaq 100 index futures hovered near flat. After President Trump announced the resumption of the blockade on Iran shipping, the market reacted sharply: oil prices surged and stocks slid. Brent crude rose more than 9%, posting its biggest single-day gain since 2020. Investors are concerned that rising oil prices could keep inflation persistently high. Analysts expect S&P 500 companies’ earnings to grow 23.6% year over year in the second quarter.
