Bitjie news: As the world’s third-largest automaker, Hyundai Motor has launched a stablecoin-based cross-border internal remittance system on the Avalanche blockchain, becoming the first Korean company to achieve this kind of application. Justin Kim, head of Avalanche Labs for the Asia Pacific region, said this is not only a technology experiment, but a real financial management use case. In the first phase, the system involves transferring $20,000 from Hyundai Motor America to the Mexican company by converting USD into Tether’s USDT stablecoin, and then converting back to USD. The project plans to expand to more cross-border payment corridors and currencies. The second pilot will be launched later this month at Hyundai Motor’s European subsidiary, testing local currency transfers and assessing the costs of foreign exchange conversions.
