The European Commission is seeking feedback from stakeholders to assess whether to expand the scope of the MiCA regulation to cover emerging areas such as tokenization and non-EU stablecoin issuers, with the feedback deadline set for September 30. According to reports, MiCA currently regulates stablecoins and divides them into electronic money tokens (EMTs) and asset-referenced tokens (ARTs), but it does not yet directly cover tokenized securities, and related products remain subject to the EU's existing securities laws.
