Last night, the funding rate spiked to over 0.3%, and the perpetual side felt like it was handing out money. I stared at the screen, took a drag of my cigarette, my hand hovering over the keyboard, two voices arguing in my head: one said to take the opposite side and collect the funding fee, the other said such extreme values are often the calm before the storm.

Last time during that oracle anomaly, someone in the group rushed in without waiting for confirmation and is still re-evaluating their loss. I've learned my lesson now—I'd rather miss out on that little profit and wait until the on-chain data stabilizes. My gut tells me to go against the trend, but the data tells me that my gut just cost me two weeks of profit last month.

Anyway, I halved my position, set my stop-loss, and leave the rest to insomnia.
