(APEC), a derivatives trading platform founded by Theodore Gillibrand, the son of New York State Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. The platform has raised $30 million, with most investors contributing between $5,000 and $10,000. Chris Larsen’s investment amount is unknown.

Previously, Kirsten Gillibrand had publicly said, “We cannot allow members of Congress and government officials to profit from the industry because of their insider status,” but her spokesperson responded that Gillibrand has “no involvement” in her son’s business.
