CoinWorld News: Meta's Chief Technology Officer Andrew Bosworth said during an internal all-hands meeting that a review of the recent data security incident involving the company's controversial mouse-tracking software has shown that no employee data was included in the AI training data. Last month, Meta paused the project, which provided data for AI training by tracking employees' mouse movements and digital activities, while investigating a sensitive data leak. He stated that if the company relaunches the project after the review is completed, it will adopt an "opt-in" approach.

Bosworth's rhetoric could be included in MBA textbooks—pause, review, voluntary, three steps to turn a crisis into PR.

The phrase "voluntarily join" sounds ironic. Mouse tracking has been made voluntary. Do working people still have a choice?
