A friend of mine works at a Walmart distribution center. She says the warehouse has always been brutally hot.

Recently, they finally installed better air conditioning but not for the people working there.
According to her, it’s because the new robots need cooler temperatures to operate properly.
If that’s true, it’s a disturbing message: the machines get the climate control, while the workers spent years enduring the heat.
That says a lot about where the priorities are.
