Galaxy: U.S. SEC custody rules and DeFi demands are in structural conflict

Mars Finance News: Galaxy posted on X platform that many Registered Investment Advisers (RIAs) find it difficult to meet clients' demands for allocating funds to DeFi while complying with the U.S. SEC's custody rules. The main pain point is that current rules require client assets to be held at qualified custodians, effectively excluding the self-custody path, making it difficult for traditional financial accounts to directly participate in DeFi strategies.
