Recently I keep seeing big terms like 'data availability', 'ordering', and 'finality'. Honestly, the first time I saw them I was also confused, they felt like a table of contents for a thesis. But after playing around for a while, I realized it's essentially three things: where is the data stored, who goes first, and whether it's truly final.



For example, DA (data availability). Previously, L1 handled it itself, but now it's thrown to blobs or external layers. It saves money, but you have to trust that they actually stored it. Ordering is even more practical: whoever packages it has the final say. MEV bots are fighting over it every day. Finality... Ethereum needs to wait for several blocks before it's 'truly done'. Some chains boast about instant finality, but when things go wrong, they don't hesitate to roll back.

Anyway, the rate-cut expectations keep fluctuating. The dollar and risk assets sometimes rise and fall together. Everyone shouts that the macro environment has changed, but on-chain, it's still as competitive as ever. When you break down complex protocols, the underlying logic is pretty much the same. First grasp this main thread, then gradually fill in the rest.
